Film Review: Anaconda 5 – The Forest Predator (2025)
Starring Alexandra Daddario, Frank Grillo, Diego Boneta, and Danny Trejo
Directed by Roel Reiné

It slithers. It stalks. It attacks. Welcome back to the jungle, where the hunter becomes the prey.
Anaconda 5: The Jungle Predator revives the cult creature franchise with more teeth, more blood, and a new ecosystem of terror. This time, the monstrous snake has left the swamp and made its home in a remote South American rainforest, where illegal logging, black market science, and ancient legends intertwine.

Alexandra Daddario leads the adventure as a biologist-turned-survivor who stumbles upon a terrifying discovery: a genetically engineered anaconda, bred for stealth and speed, now unleashed into a fragile ecosystem. Frank Grillo plays a hardened ex-mercenary hired to lead the extraction team, and every glance he casts is charged with anger and regret.

What sets this sequel apart? The scale. The action. The evolution. This isn’t your grandfather’s snake: this one hunts with precision, camouflages itself like a chameleon, and strikes without warning. The kills are swift, brutal, and often disturbingly creative.

Director Roel Reiné ramps up the tension with claustrophobic jungle chases, night-vision hunting sequences, and an epic waterfall battle that might be the series’ most intense moment to date. And yes, Danny Trejo shows up with a machete and a vengeance. Instant legend.

Final Verdict:
Anaconda 5 knows exactly what it is: a witty, wild, adrenaline-fueled creature feature film, unapologetically campy. It’s cheesy, gory, and hilarious. The forest has a new apex predator, and you’ll think twice before walking again.
