Deathstalker (1983)

Steel, sorcery, and savage glory.
A cult classic of the sword-and-sorcery boom, Deathstalker is a gleefully gritty fantasy adventure produced by Roger Corman and directed by James Sbardellati. Set in a brutal world of wizards, warriors, and wicked queens, the film follows Deathstalker (Rick Hill), a roguish, musclebound antihero tasked with retrieving three magical artifacts to defeat the evil sorcerer Munkar and save the kingdom.

Along the way, he battles monsters, rescues (and romances) warrior women, and slices through every challenge with a blood-soaked grin. With its low-budget charm, over-the-top violence, and unapologetic camp, Deathstalker became a VHS-era legend — spawning sequels, imitators, and a loyal cult following.
