“Devara: Part 2” – Jr NTR’s next action blockbuster officially reveals trailer
After the resounding success of Devara: Part 1 (2024), director Koratala Siva and actor Jr NTR continue to conquer the audience with a promising sequel – Devara: Part 2. The official trailer in Hindi has been released, bringing eye-catching images and an attractive plot, promising an action blockbuster not to be missed.
🌊 Continued and expanded plot
Devara: Part 2 continues the story of Vara (Jr NTR), the son of leader Devara, on his journey to avenge his father’s death and discover the mysteries surrounding his decision to sacrifice himself. The new film will bring the audience to more intense conflicts, when Vara confronts Bhaira (Saif Ali Khan) – an eternal enemy, along with the appearance of a new villain played by Bobby Deol, introduced in the post-credits scene of part 1.
🎭 Cast and characters
Jr NTR: Continues to take on the dual role of Devara and Vara, showing the transformation from a gentle son to a strong leader.
Saif Ali Khan: Returns as Bhaira, a dangerous enemy with ambitions to dominate the coastal smuggling routes.
Janhvi Kapoor: As Thangam, Vara’s lover, with an expanded role and more emotional depth in this part.
Bobby Deol: Joins the cast as a new villain, promising to bring dramatic confrontations.
Ramya Krishnan: Appears in a key role that has not been revealed, increasing the curiosity of the audience.
🎬 Production and VFX
The majority of the principal photography will begin in February 2026, due to Jr NTR’s busy schedule with other projects like War 2 and Dragon. However, around 25 minutes of footage has already been shot, including underwater sequences in Goa and Thailand.
To enhance the visual experience, the sequel will use advanced VFX technology, improving underwater combat scenes and large-scale battles, to overcome the limitations of the first installment’s VFX.
📅 Release date and expectations
Devara: Part 2 is scheduled to release in late 2026, with plans for a nationwide release in India, including IMAX and 4DX formats. Netflix is in talks to buy the streaming rights for around $20 million.
Although part 1 received mixed reviews from critics, the appeal of Jr NTR and the unresolved plot twists make part 2 expected to create a box office fever.
