Movie Review: Enter the Fat Dragon 2 (2025)
Bigger. Funnier. Deadlier.

Enter the Fat Dragon 2 (2025) is a riotous, kung fu-fueled sequel that doubles down on everything fans loved about the first film — more outrageous stunts, more absurd comedy, and yes… more gravity-defying action from a hero who proves size is no obstacle to style.

Donnie Yen returns as Fallon Zhu, the unstoppable (and still slightly out-of-shape) cop whose fists fly faster than his metabolism. This time, he’s pulled out of retirement and sent to Tokyo to escort a key witness in a Yakuza trial. But when the witness vanishes, and the city erupts in a triad vs. Yakuza turf war, Fallon finds himself back in the middle of the chaos — one punch, one pratfall at a time.

Yen is as magnetic as ever, blending his signature martial arts grace with perfect comedic timing. The sequel allows him to be even more playful — fighting in a sumo ring, brawling on rollerblades, and even taking down a gang while trying to eat ramen. It’s ridiculous, and it works.

The fight choreography is next level — wildly inventive and surprisingly brutal beneath the laughs. Highlights include a three-way rooftop showdown in the rain and a hilarious kitchen fight involving flaming chopsticks, a live eel, and a very slippery floor.

The heart of the film lies in Fallon’s reluctant mentorship of a young, cocky influencer cop (played by Kevin Woo), and their mismatched chemistry brings both humor and unexpected depth. There’s even a romantic subplot that almost gets serious — but don’t worry, it’s derailed by a runaway sushi boat.

It’s silly, stylish, and packed with punches. While not quite as fresh as the first, Enter the Fat Dragon 2 knows exactly what it is — and delivers it with a roundhouse kick to the funny bone.

Rating: 7.9/10Big action. Big laughs. Big heart. Fallon Zhu is still the heavyweight champ of martial arts comedy.
